Worldwide Butterflies has been supplying butterflies and moths for nearly half a century. There is a range of species available as livestock. Please see the range of Current Livestock. Schools can see Recommended School Species.
Butterflies and moths are supplied for historic, scientific and identification collections, medical research, for photography and conservation, and even just for their incredible beauty and natural history interest. Schools and educational establishments are prominent in Worldwide Butterflies’ list of customers. A number people started by buying from Worldwide Butterflies, and have gone on to become professional in Entomology and Natural History in a number of ways. LIVESTOCK
New Clouded Yellow (australis) larvae: we have some early larvae immediately available: maybe only for a short time.
Painted Lady (cardui) and Garden Tiger (caja) larvae are ready immediately.
March is bringing longer days and warmer sunshine. The first Kentish Glory moths are emerging. There are some pupae available and the price is good. Eggs can be ordered now - laying has started. Sleeve the eggs out on branches of Birch, Alder or Hazel and they will hatch when the first buds are bursting. This is a very special species and the harbinger of spring! Marsh and Glanville Fritillaries aurinia and cinxia larvae are coming out of hibernation now and can be ordered immediately.
There is a special price on cocoons of Argema mimosae for a limited time.
New stocks have arrived from Kenya: mimosae, zambezina and menippe. Next week we shall receive cocoons of cecropia and polyphemus.
SPECIAL PRICES have been applied to PUPAE of : Puss Moth vinula, Emperor pavonia, Pavoniella, Scarce Swallowtail podalirius, Kentish Glory versicolora, and Proserpina Hawk. See CURRENT PUPAE.
MAP BUTTERFLY pupae are on special offer. For those who would like to see more of this wonderful little butterfly, this is an opportunity to obtain a breeding stock.
NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY PUPAE FOR THE SEASON'S BREEDING. Some are already selling out.
Atlas moth cocoons have arrived! These are sturdy stock from China, in diapause, so keep them cool and bring them out for incubation whenever required. They are in great demand so please order now with the spring and summer in mind.

Oleander Hawk (nerii) breeding stock is doing well, but has been set back by the cold weather. We now expect to be supplying eggs in March.
GARDEN TIGER larvae will be available again in late winter, Young pre-hibernation larvae of Marbled White galathea, Dark Green Fritillary aglaia and Scotch Argus aethiops. Also overwintering eggs of Silver-studded Blue and Brown Hairstreak betulae. Please see Current Eggs and Larvae.
PRIME SPECIES Very rare Black Hairstreak pruni overwintering eggs immediately available.
SPRING and SUMMER BUTTERFLY and MOTH Eggs and Larvae and Pupae can now be ordered from the appropriate sections of the WWB Website. Further species are added from time to time.
WINTER PUPAE: There is a wide range of currently available pupae, so you can obtain your breeding stock for next year and plan your breeding for the season ahead. An additional section shows Winter Pupae that can be ordered now for sending on arrival.

ENQUIRIES ABOUT ORDERS. Particularly with livestock, before enquiring when you will receive a species, please check the delivery season stated for the species ordered. If enquiring, please quote the SPECIES and whether PUPAE or EGGS/LARVAE. NOT JUST THE ORDER NUMBER. This helps us to respond more quickly than if you only quote the order reference. Thank you.
