Description

Cream-spot Tiger Arctia villica

Eggs now laid. Larvae will be sent next month when they are large enough to travel.

The moth is one that almost stops the heartbeat!

Click View to see how lovely the moths are. Beautifully coloured and dramatically patterned.

The hairy, jet black and very active larvae feed on Burdock and low plants, such as Dandelion and Dock.

In nature the larvae hibernate when partially grown. In captivity you can keep them warm and light. Under these conditions the larvae may grow to pupation and produce moths this summer.

This is a very difficult species to obtain. Don't miss the opportunity to rear one of our loveliest moths.
