Worldwide Butterflies has been supplying butterflies and moths for nearly half a century. There is a range of species available as livestock. Please see the range of Current Livestock. Schools can see Recommended School Species.
Butterflies and moths are supplied for historic, scientific and identification collections, medical research, for photography and conservation, and even just for their incredible beauty and natural history interest. Schools and educational establishments are prominent in Worldwide Butterflies’ list of customers. A number people started by buying from Worldwide Butterflies, and have gone on to become professional in Entomology and Natural History in a number of ways. TIME FOR SLEEVE REARING. At this time, larvae are beginning to need housing and sleeves provide an economical and healthy method of rearing. Please see the section on SLEEVES. We have good stocks ready for immediate delivery.

LIVESTOCK
Eggs/Larvae for HOLIDAY REARING and ready now or soon: Painted Lady, Comma, Eyed Hawk, Poplar Hawk, Deathshead and Oleander Hawks, American Ailanthus Moth. Please see Current Livestock Eggs and Larvae.
Here is an UPDATE on species most frequently asked about: ACTIAS DUBERNARDI have been delayed but will be available in the second half of September. Europen Swallowtail gorganus have been supplied as far as possible and later orders will be supplied from the second brood in late summer.
Larvae of the beautiful orange form CLYTIE of the SMALL PURPLE EMPEROR ilia, are about to be available. Keep sleeved on Poplar where they hibernate and produce the amazing butterflies next summer.
Larvae of MORPHO PEILEDES have just become available! See Current Eggs and Larvae. This is the first time ever offered. Feed on Wisteria, Robinia or Salix.
HUMMINGBIRD HAWK stellatarum larvae. Please see Current Eggs and Larvae.
MORE FIRSTS! Eggs of Caligo atreus, probably the finest of all Owl Butterflies, and the rare and magnificent COSCINOCERA HERCULES. Please see Current Livestock.
Oak Eggar L. quercus larvae immediately available.
DEATHSHEAD atropos are breeding now and eggs are being sent out this month.
We can supply a few PUPAE of Deathshead shortly.
OLEANDER HAWK nerii are available immediately.
Hickory Horned Devil regalis are still tucked up in their pupae but they emerge at this time of year and, as long as the adults emerge and breed, eggs will be supplied as soon as laid.

Pupae of Painted Lady cardui and Large White brassicae are now available.
VARIETIES of SILKWORM EGGS can still be bought for hatching this year. The hatch rate is smaller by August. Orders taken from September onwards will be supplied from eggs that hatch next spring, unless requested otherwise.

ENQUIRIES ABOUT ORDERS. Particularly with livestock, before enquiring when you will receive a species, please check the delivery season stated for the species ordered. If enquiring, please quote the SPECIES and whether PUPAE or EGGS/LARVAE. NOT JUST THE ORDER NUMBER. This helps us to respond more quickly than if you only quote the order reference. Thank you.
