Edwards Atlas Attacus edwardsii 15 eggs
Edwards Atlas Moth Attacus edwardsii
It has been several years since we had this exceptionally large and hansome Silkmoth, which is now almost impossible to obtain. We have a breeding stock and will have eggs available this summer. One of the largest moths in the world, with a rich deep chocolate ground colour which instantly distinguishes Edwards Atlas from the more widespread Attacus atlas. The moths emerge in late June and July. Privet is an ideal foodplant. The larvae like a temperature around 30°C, and should be kept in an enclosed space with enough ventilation to maintain fresh air, but also one that maintains a moist atmosphere.
